Job Specifics
Minimum Qualification for Promotional Examination: Must be a qualified New York State employee as well as have three months of permanent competitive or 55-b / 55-c grade in the title of Clerical, Secretary, or Para-Professional title allocated to Grade-12 or higher, or as a Principal Clerk Collection, SG-11.
Only para-professional titles will be considered for eligibility in the office environment. No service qualification experience in direct care title. (E 7/29/2011)
Duties Description: Supervise various aspects of the personal clerical task with the clerical staff and perform a variety of operational support tasks such as maintaining staff records, recruiting staff, arranging interviews, orienting new employees, probationary and performance appraisals. Monitoring, addressing monitoring, payroll execution, and benefits transactions, notifying payroll of changes in employee status, processing new and existing employee records and forms, and benefits to supervisors and employees, civil service rules and regulations, and agency staff policies.
